Mary and Larry Hendrickson Sr. founded North American Transportation in 1988 in a little office in Oakland, California. In the beginning, they offered logistics, LTL and truckload services. The friendly and efficient operation saw demand for its services quickly grow, attracting both large and small customers.

In 1993, Mrs. and Mr. Hendrickson formed an over-the-road line haul division called North American Carrier Group to meet increasing demand from their customers. The company’s extensive partner network quickly grew throughout North America. Meanwhile, North American Transportation LLC grew from a logistics-only company into a full-service transportation company, offering a wide range of logistics and transportation management services.

Today, the Hendricksons together represent more than 40 years of experience in the transportation industry. Their focus on offering world-class transportation services to companies of all sizes, tailoring solutions to their customers’ needs, delivering the best customer service available today, and maintaining a near-flawless customer retention rate, has allowed North American Transportation to grow at an incredible average rate of 18 percent every year since the company’s founding in 1988.

Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, North American Transportation maintains terminals in the following six cities: Hayward, CA, Newark, CA, Carson, CA, Long Beach, CA, Stockton, CA, and Chicago, IL.
